Claire Cameron

Claire Cameron

Claire has discovered the joys of Zwifting relatively recently, using her Saris trainer as a pandemic sanity machine that allows her to compete in the absence of other cycling competition. Her fascination for bikes and racing has seen Claire race on professional teams as well as the Canadian National Team.

Claire went to the Olympic games in 2004 as a pilot for tandem Para-cycling. In her spare time (i.e. her career) Claire is an elementary school teacher. Some of Claire’s favorite times on a bike include gravel adventure rides, track racing, stage racing and hill repeats.

In 2020 Claire won the road race and the overall at the Tour of Murietta in California and has recently started virtual racing, which has increased her on-bike profanity exponentially.

Interesting facts about Claire:

  • Played metro soccer as a kid until an ACL injury saw her try a road bike as part of rehab. We are pretty sure the rehab hasn’t ended as she has yet to return to the soccer pitch

  • Grew up on a sheep farm on a small island off the Fraser River in British Columbia

  • Tried racing triathlons but the early morning swim practices cut into her sleeping

  • Owned a motorcycle

  • Can make a mean raspberry rhubarb pie

  • Rode her bike across British Columbia on a gravel bike packing trip

  • Has a Masters degree in Education

  • Speaks both French and English

“Back of the Card” Rider Stats

  • Routinely races and rides with the men locally and has been known to mix it up in the bunch sprints

  • Will say she is “fine” regardless of what is really going on
