Kae Takeshita

Kae is a new addition to our team. She is a Japanese native currently living in the west suburbs of Chicago, USA.

She started riding and training on Zwift in 2017 as her busy work schedule really limited her training time and it was much more convenient and efficient to ride in her basement during the week no matter which season. After she participated in the USAC Zwift virtual race league inspiring 2020, she joined our team. She and Christie are teammates IRL on a gravel racing team.

Kae’s forte is long distance gravel races, and she has raced gravel in more than 15 states in the last few years and has taken many wins and podium finishes. She scored the top female place in the Gravel Power Ranking 2019 by PureGravel.com, and the female Gravel Rider of the Year 2019 by Groadio-the Premier Gravel Cycling & Racing Podcast. She is often seen in Chicago cyclocross scenes in the fall.

Her profession has been an international logistics provider moving freight all over the world in a corporate setting for over a decade, and then she moved onto an export/import/wholesale business. She’s still looking for a good matching job that fits her active lifestyle
